IENA Board Biographies

Ruth Bryant, RN

Ruth formerly served as IENA Director-at-Large.

 

Ruth Bryant joined the IENA Board in 2016, and formerly served as a Director-at-Large.

 

She earned her Baccalaureate degree from Mount Marty College in Yankton, SC, followed by her MS and is now a PhD candidate. As a nurse specialist in wound, ostomy, and continence care for the past 25+ years, she has served as President of her specialty nursing organization at the national level.


Ruth also worked as a Scholar in Residence, which gave her the opportunity to coach and facilitate nurses interested in conducting research and evidence based practice in the clinical setting. Currently, she works as Director of Nursing Research at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
